Securing Project Management Information Systems

$90.00

Project managers extensively use computers, mobile devices to plan and monitor project deliverables. The computers and mobile devices that are used during a project are collectively known as the project management information system (PMIS). The PMIS is vital to every project because the project team relies on the availability of project data in order to run, manage and monitor the project. The PMIS is also required to share project information with all project stakeholders. Securing Project Management Information Systems is a course that will describe the importance of computer and network security for the data devices that project managers use to gather project data and share this information. This course will identify the vulnerabilities and define safeguards for computers, networks, networking components, software applications, and mobile devices that are used to run a project. This course will describe the threats that can compromise both computing devices and project data such as: viruses, trojans, and phishing. This course will describe some simple steps that project managers can take to properly protect their data devices from any threats that can penetrate the network, as well as protecting confidential company data. Finally, this course will identify the importance of using strong passwords and the dangers of reusing the same passwords on all online accounts.
