Project Management Knowledge Areas is a course that will review the ten knowledge areas that are defined in the PMI® Process Groups Practice Guide. The Project Management Institute identified 49 prescriptive processes that could be used to complete a project. These predictive processes are typically implemented when using a traditional or waterfall approach for managing a project. Project management knowledge areas are one of the ways to categorize the 49 prescriptive processes. This course will define the purpose of each knowledge area and identify the processes that are included in each of the ten knowledge areas. Finally, this course will also identify the purpose for each process and identify the inputs, tools and techniques and outputs for each process.
